Our innagural competition went better than we could have ever expected. We filled the hi-dive beyond its legal capacity and were able to increase our prize money on the spot, and still break even. Now it's time for the 2006 competition at the Oriental Theater!

The 2006 Colorado 500indie Music Video Competition is almost here! Join us April 30th 2006 at the Oriental Theater (4335 W. 44th Avenue, Denver). You're almost out of time to get a video together for the competition! When it's ready, download the Submission form and Director's Release and the Musician's Release Form and get them in with your video.
About 500indie
500indie was created to give local music video directors and filmmakers a way to get their work seen and help promote the local music and filmmaking scenes.
Everyone can now afford high quality video cameras and desktop video editing equipment. There are more and more people making films, shorts, and music videos these days, and they're getting better.
Music Videos are one of the most creative outlets for indpendent filmmakers, and one of the most accessible, yet there is almost no venue for these videos to be seen by the public. Now you can show music videos you made, and view those that others have made at local competitions and view them at home on DVDs that will be available at the competitions and on this website.
About the Competition
The audience picks the winners in this competition. Everyone that shows up on time gets a ballot and votes at the end of the videos. A minimum of $500 total cash and prizes will be awarded.
2006 Competition Status
The Oriental Theater has new owners, and has been completely renovated, and now has a liquor license! There is plenty of seating, and a great view of the stage from any seat. It's the perfect place in Denver for a Music Video Competition!
